Today was filled with soooo many events.
First, "Run Forest, run" was what I felt during the scavenger hunt. We ran alllllll over campus and i saw spots on the campus that i had never knew existed. My team was pumped and we all helped to guide the team and give directions. We didnt come in first, but we still won in our hearts!
Second, there was a ground breaking news story, or what it seemed like. Apparently, a student was 'lost' for over two hours. However, this alleged story was proved incorrect.

One word. Four letters. Two vowels. This creates the word "Home." Even though I have only spent two days here at LIU Post, this place really does feel like a home. It all started with Cece (my senior leader) and her infectious smile and continued with the closeness of our group. Never in my wildest dreams I thought that I would say that sharing a two sink and one shower bathroom between five teenage girls would be such a fun time, but here I am saying how great it is. I don't think there is ever a dull moment, even when we are in class, waking up in the morning, or cracking up during our free time. LIU Post for me really does make the lyrics of "Home" by Philip Philips true.

Sandra Peddie, Dr. Shepherd, and Journalism oh my!
As Derek Shepherd has said, "It is a beautiful day to save lives." Well in my case, it is a beautiful day to dive into the world of journalism. Like Dr. Shepherd's scalpel, my pen is the tool to open a world that is hidden to our eyes. Between Sandra Peddie's (Newsday) wise words about the ever changing journalism profession to uncovering the newest hidden dirt on the lives of the scandalous, what better place than LIU Post is there to blaze our trail? After all, we are the pioneers. :)
